Joining a group class for older adults not only promotes physical health but also encourages social connection, motivation, and long-term consistency in your exercise routine.
Our Process
MOVE YOUR WAY is a seniors exercise class designed to help older adults improve strength, balance, flexibility, and overall wellbeing in a supportive group setting. While it’s a group class, every participant completes their own individually prescribed exercise program, created by our Accredited Exercise Physiologists following a thorough initial assessment. This ensures that everyone is working at the right intensity for their abilities and goals, whether that’s managing chronic conditions, improving mobility, or building confidence in daily movement. By combining personalised programs with the motivation and social connection of a group class for older adults, MOVE YOUR WAY helps you stay consistent, feel supported, and achieve meaningful health outcomes in a fun and engaging environment.
GOALS
We work with you to set personalised exercise goals that keep you motivated.
ASSESS
Assess strength, balance, power and pain levels to establish a clear starting point.
DESIGN
Write a tailored, safe and specific program based on your goals and assessment findings.
RE-ASSESS
Enjoy exercise while we reassess your measures to track your progress and prescribe your program.

All exercise should be individualised to suit your needs
Initial Assessment
During your Initial Assessment, you will sit down with an Exercise Physiologist to establish a clear starting point, set some goals and talk about what obstacles may be in the way of certain types of exercises. We will then run you through a series of tests to see your baseline strength, balance, fitness and pain levels using our VALD ForceDecks and Dynamo.
Based on your goals and assessment results, our Exercise Physiologists will write a personalised exercise program. Using combinations of strength training with weights, balance training and conditioning to improve fitness. This program is designed to meet you at your starting point and is the foundation of which you will start to improve

Exercise & Progress
In our group exercise classes for seniors, you’ll complete your personalised program under the guidance of Accredited Exercise Physiologists. Each session is facilitated under close supervision to make sure everyone is safe and on the right track with the goals of their program. Should any issues arise during your program an Exercise Physiologist will be able to adapt your exercises to suit your needs.
After you complete your 6-8 week exercise program it is time to see how much progress you made with a Re-Assessment using our VALD ForceDecks and Dynamo. Depending on your initial goals, you may do the same assessments to track your progress, or your goals may have shifted and a new baseline may need to be established. A new exercise program will then be designed and prescribed for your next block of exercise.
